Yayasan Rumah Energi (YRE) participated as one of the speakers in the Climate Champions Event Series, a collaboration between the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiatives (YSEALI) Program, the American Council, and the US Embassy.  

This event was held with the theme “Local Solutions, Global Impact: Harnessing Community Power for Climate Action”. YRE shared the plenary session with the Director of Climate Adaptation from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry Indonesia, as well as the Head of Climate Action and Urban Forestry Manager from the City of Tucson, USA.  

During the session, YRE highlighted the role of local communities in climate action, mobilization of a just energy transition for grassroot communities, emphasized the importance of multistakeholder collaboration, and showcased examples from YRE’s climate mitigation and adaptation programs. We believe that sharing our best practices and insights can inspire and empower the young participants, who may become future community leaders in climate action.
