Sharing Energy at the INKOPDIT National Annual Member Meeting (RAT).
Green Cooperative Adaptation Readiness (GENCAR) Project Manager, Anggoro Bren Wiratsongko had the opportunity to share knowledge and experience at the INKOPDIT National RAT series of events last June. The event, which was held in Pontianak, West Kalimantan, had the theme “Retrospection, Reorientation, and Restoration of the Credit Cooperative Movement (GKK)”.
On this occasion, Bren was a speaker for the Breakout Seminar with the sub-theme “SDGs – Environment & Climate Action”. He explained how cooperatives have the potential to contribute as agents of change in mobilizing financing for climate change mitigation and adaptation through the Green Cooperative program implemented by YRE. Furthermore, Bren identified the risks caused by climate change for institutions and cooperative members and how appropriate technology such as renewable energy can be an alternative
Meanwhile, Ona Lantara, a representative of CV Riski Abadi, who is a YRE partner, also had the opportunity to provide outreach on home biogas renewable energy technology (BIRU). Mrs. Ona shared her experience of how biogas benefits the community at the grassroots. He also told how developing networks with cooperatives was the key to biogas development in various regions.
