Sharing Energy at STEMCON 2024
Rumah Energi recently showcased our work in green solutions and renewable energy for sustainability at STEMCON 2024, organized by @USAID HEPI in partnership with Arizona State University (ASU). Represented by @Danastri Widoningtyas, we highlighted how community-based renewable energy initiatives can lead the way for impactful sustainability projects. Our past internships and experience on hosting student development programs also reflect the value of hands-on sustainability experience that spans beyond just engineering and technology.
Sharing the stage with esteemed experts like Dr. Jack Rutherford from ASU, Prof. Assoc. Maria Anityasari, Ph.D from Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember, Prof. Dr. Ni’matuzahroh from Universitas Airlangga, Mr. Ferry Ferdian from PT. Dow Indonesia, and Willy Sakareza from Project Management Office Kedaireka underscored the importance of collaborative efforts between educational institutions and industry to prepare the next generation for the future of sustainability.
To meet the evolving needs of the sustainability sector, aligning STEM education with real-world challenges is essential. Integrating practical, problem-based learning into the curriculum deepens theoretical knowledge and sharpens students’ skills in analysis and application. Research partnerships and development projects offer a valuable pathway to bridge academic insights with industry needs, while cross-sectoral and interdisciplinary platforms enrich learning focused on sustainability.
