Sharing Energy at the National Conference: "Women Talk About Just Energy Transition"

Mrs. Verapaty, representing the Kaki Rinjani Women Farmers Group (KWT), Central Lombok, attended and shared her story at the National Conference: “Women Talk About Just Energy Transition” organized by the Women’s Coalition for Just Energy Transition on Wednesday (26/2/2025). Mrs. Verapaty, familiarly called Mrs. Vera, was present representing the beneficiaries of the Rumah Energi Pro Women for Renewable Energy program. She explained the significant changes and benefits felt from renewable energy technology such as Home Biogas, Solar Panels, and Solar Dryer Domes which increase the productivity of the Kaki Rinjani KWT coffee business. 

Mrs. Vera filled the panel discussion session with Mrs. Satuf Hidayah from the Indonesian Women’s Coalition who is also the administrator of the Qaryah Thayyibah Farmers Association Union (SPPQT). She explained the good practices of using Home Biogas which utilizes organic waste as raw materials for cooking with biogas. 

The two-day conference also actively promoted the use of community-based renewable energy such as biogas, solar panels, and solar dryer domes on a household and MSME scale. The conference also aims to provide space for women from various backgrounds to voice their experiences, and knowledge, including the challenges and obstacles faced in accessing, using, and fighting for fair energy.
