After being successed with entrepreneurial programs such as the Biogas RESCO and Pro-Women programs, Yayasan Rumah Energi (YRE) wants to continue to have more impact on entrepreneurs who continue to develop the Indonesian economy. By continuing to apply gender within the organization and outside the organization, YRE empowers women who have important roles in the economy and family.
The COVID-19 pandemic that struck did not dampen our enthusiasm for supporting women’s entrepreneurial businesses. In 2021, YRE held ‘Puan Inspiratif’ which was held in 2 batches, in April 2021 and August 2021. Puan Inspiratif is a YRE’s program to empower women entrepreneurs who are running their businesses through a gender equality approach.
Puan Inspiratif Batch 1 was held for five intensive days on 19 – 23 April 2021. In celebrating Kartini Day which gave encouragement to all Indonesian women regarding equality, YRE held training on Gender Action Learning system (GALS) and Financial Action Learning System (FALS) for free to selected participants, equipped with sharing sessions or sharing inspiration in leadership, business, and also public speaking with experts in their fields.
Puan Inspiratif Batch 2 was held for five days on 18, 20, 23, 25, and 27 August 2021. With the spirit of independence, YRE carried out this activity by providing intensive training for women entrepreneurs. The material from this training includes gender mainstreaming, financial management, business, and digital marketing which can be useful for participants in running their business to survive, especially during the pandemic.
