Assistance for Dairy Farmers in the Citarum River Basin (DAS)

Livestock waste pollution in the Cibereum River Basin (DAS) is very high. This is because the Cibereum DAS is surrounded by cattle farms that have limited knowledge about the utilization of livestock waste, and directly dump it into the river which causes high pollutants and causes sedimentation. Meanwhile, animal waste has great potential to be reused as a blessing with biogas.

To overcome the problem of river pollution and maximize the utilization of livestock waste for the welfare of the environment and society, Rumah Energi and Perum Jasa Tirta II are implementing a program to reduce pollution to the river with an integrated and sustainable livestock waste management approach for the welfare of the environment and society.
